We have celebrated our late President, Sir John Dankworth, who died last February in our most recent concert, held on June 26th. In this we performed his work, "All the World's a Stage" which he composed for us and which we performed first in 1988. We also gave a performance of John Rutter's "Requiem".
The concert, dedicated to Sir John, was a moving occasion, particularly for those of us who have known Sir John as our President for over 34 years, and we believe we gave a performance that would indeed have pleased and thrilled him.
