Under the baton of Ian Smith, The Danesborough Chorus is one of the finest amateur choral societies in the area. We aim to perform a varied repertoire, from standard to newly commissioned works, to a very high standard. We are fortunate to have the services of John Witchell as accompanist to our rehearsals, also an able and experienced choirmaster as well as an accomplished organ soloist.
The Danesborough Chorus performs three concerts each year, aimed at the last Saturdays in March and June and, joining with the Milton Keynes Chorale, usually on a Sunday in November. We use local churches - always St. Mary's Church in Woburn for our Summer concert, and the Milton Keynes Theatre for our joint concerts. Membership peaks at circa 110, and new members are always welcome, particularly male voices. In our 35 years of existence we have performed a great variety of
works. We also offer a service of small choirs for special events. See the Weddings link above for more detail.
