Under the baton of Ian Smith, The Danesborough Chorus is one of the finest amateur choral societies in the area. It aims to perform a varied repertoire, from standard to newly commissioned works, to a very high standard. John Byron has been the repetiteur for the Danesborough Chorus for several years. The Danesborough Chorus performs three concerts each year, aimed at the last Saturdays in March and June and, joining with the Milton Keynes Chorale, on a Sunday in November. We use local churches - always St. Mary's Church in Woburn for our Summer concert, and the Milton Keynes Theatre for our joint concerts. Membership peaks at circa 110, and new members are always welcome, particularly male voices. In our 34 years of existence we have performed a great variety of works. |
